What will you break through?

No one runs a marathon for the workout. Nike's NYC Marathon campaign brought the race around the race to life to show what each athlete was really running for.

"Am I the fastest dude in the city? Nah, not even close. I'm probably the slowest in the running community in NYC, but I really don't give a &#@k about that. I got my family, I got my crew, I've got all the people I hold dear pushing me every step of every mile."
"I wanted to step out the box and I wanted something that represented more towards me. And then, I wanted to expand to everything that I like." - @kingparkergold2001 . Going against the grain isn't always easy. But that's the way creative director and run-club founder Jerry Francois prefers it.
"I think losing her taught me how low you can go. It kind of changed my mentality. If I do really bad in a race, I can wipe that off. That's not low in life. What's the worst that happens? I don't run the time I want?
"At some point, you just have to think about the next step. And the next race. And just run it. At whatever speed, just run it. But make it worth an effort." - @whiskeyandgoatsmilk . Mari De Monte has some unfinished business.
